I've started an experimental project called "<a href="http://www.themightychicken.com/diaries/">SDW Studios Production Diaries</a>." I'll regularly be uploading new entries, expect a lot. It's basically a video diary which chronicles the production of a short film project from it's very conception - ideas, brainstorming - to the finished product in every detail. When it's done I'll compile it together like the "King Kong: Peter Jackson's Production Diaries" and have it as an extra feature in a 2-disc set with the first disc being the short film with commentary and whatever and the second disc containing every entry of the SDW Studios Production Diaries chronicles.

Movies/DVDs/HD-DVDs to watch:
<u>Holes</u>: DVD - Great movie. Looking forward to reading the book I ordered off Amazon, should get it Friday.
<u>Mission Impossible III</u>: HD-DVD - I like the HD-DVD treatment. Not drastically different from the regular DVD but there are improvements - besides the picture and sound obviously - like the picture in picture video commentary that goes into much more detail in the production process. It's both informative and enjoyable.
<u>Van Helsing</u>: HD-DVD - Almost exactly the same - picture and audio drastically better - but still worth the switch to HD.
<u>Serenity</u>: HD-DVD - Exactly the same - though picture and audio is so much better, eye/ear candy orgasmic - as the original release aka not the collectors edition so sell your original Serenity DVD and upgrade to HD, but keep your collectors edition DVD. Damn I wish they'd moved everything over from the collectors edition, god knows there's enough room.
<u>Transformers</u>: HD-DVD - Again, HD video and sound is so much better, it's like the difference between VHS and DVD back in the day. Besides that it's almost the same except for the download able HD-DVD only features and awesome menu's and a couple of other goodies. Even if you have the DVD version, sell it - yes, even if you <i>just</i> bought it - and upgrade to HD if you have the equipment. It's not the best movie in the world, but it's the best Micheal Bay movie so far and that's not nothing. Although I'm more into character driven films rather than action/cgi/and explosions, I like my guilty pleasures the same as everyone else, and Shia labeouf is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors in the film industry. He's the reason I bought Disturbia and Holes.
<u>Disturbia</u>: HD-DVD - I can't say how much better it is from the DVD version because I've never checked that version out but I know the video and sound is a lot better. The movie is surprisingly well. I usually stay away from the teen horror/suspense/drama movies but gave this one a chance due to Shia Labeouf and I'm glad I did. Give it a chance, at the very least a rental.
<u>Die Hard 2-Disc Steel Case Special Edition:</u> DVD - Been a long time since I've seen the first Die Hard and I didn't even pay attention back then (was young) and I'm very happy I bought it. The best of the four (Live Free or Die Hard aka Die Hard 4 the newest one coming a very close second) and stands the test of time. If you can buy it at Best Buy for the Steel Case version, so much cooler looking than the crappy standard plastic casing version, and not just better looking, it's better for preserving it. Regular casing gets nicked and scratched, hard to do with the steel casing.
<u>Live Free or Die Hard Unrated 2-Disc Steel Case Special Edition</u>: DVD - Again with the better steel casing exclusively from Best Buy (see above why). Also, unlike other DVDs, the "Unrated" label really makes a huge difference. The Die Hard series has always been a rated R series by heart and this PG-13 version in theaters and on in the Blu-Ray version is shit in comparison. It just doesn't have the Die Hard feel or spirit or whatever you want to call it. Trust me, don't bother with the Blu-ray PG-13 version, even with the high definition, better picture isn't worth a lower quality film. Get the DVD version until they come out with the unrated cut in high definition.

So I started a new daily - Monday through Friday - webcomic called Bangsboy - not dirty, named Bangsboy due to the hair of the character of the same name - , it's a light almost newspaper comic strip format. The first two comics are up, but I won't have a new one until Tuesday due to my leaving town this weekend (leaving in an hour, be back sometime Monday) but it will be released consistant from then on. I was going to make it 7 days a week a.k.a. every day but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with that, at least for the first few months. The art of the first two comics is a little inconsistant and not the best it could be. I'm still getting into my stride and the style I want to use for the comic, not to mention fleshing out the characters, both in design and personality.

The Mighty Chicken website is still in the development stages as far as design and content. I plan on it being both the official Bangsboy comic site as well as well as my other art - writings, drawings, sketchings, paintings, videos, photos, etcetra - and a personal blog.
